Appearance: white or off-white crystalline powder
Characteristics: Vitamin B6 hydrochloride is a white or almost white crystalline or crystalline powder; odorless, sour and bitter, easily destroyed in alkaline solutions when exposed to light or high temperatures. Recrystallization from a mixture of ethanol and acetone gives tabular or columnar crystals. Melted at 206°C and partially decomposed. The 10% aqueous solution has a pH of 2.2-3.0. It is stable in the air. Better heat resistance. The polymerization was carried out by heating to 120°C in a neutral solution, but it was stable under acidic or basic conditions and did not polymerize.
Limits: Adult intake is 1.6 to 2.0 mg per day. Women need 2.2 mg during pregnancy and 2.1 mg during lactation. Vitamin B6 works best with vitamins B1, B2, pantothenic acid, vitamin C and magnesium.
Vitamin B6 deficiency: 10-20 mg per day for adults, for 3 weeks, then change to 2-4 mg per day for several weeks. Consult a physician after each treatment session.
