【Introduction】 This product is a dry, leafy cane of Trachelospermum jasminoides (Lindl.) Lem. From winter to spring harvest, remove impurities and dry.
【Properties】 This product has a cylindrical stem, curved, multi-branching, varying length, diameter 1 ~ 5mm; surface red-brown, a bit like lenticels and adventitious roots; hard, light yellow white section, often hollow. Leaves opposite, with short stems; leaves flattened elliptical or ovate-lanceolate, flat 1–8 cm wide, 0.7–3.5 cm wide; flat, slightly reeled, dark green or brownish green on the surface, lower surface Lighter color, leathery. Gas slightly, bitter taste.
[Identification] The cross-section of the stem of the product: the cork layer is brown red-colored cork cells; the surface shows single-celled non-glandular hairs, and the wall thickness is thick with axillary. The inner side of the cork layer is a ring of stone cells, and there is a distribution of calcium oxalate cubic crystals between the cork layer and the stone cell annulus. The cortex is narrow. The phloem is thin, with non-ligninized fiber bundles on the outside and intermittently arranged in rings. Layer formation loop. The xylem consists of woody cells, with multiple ducts scattered. There are still cambium and endophytic phloem inside the xylem. The woody fibers of the pith are bundled and the surrounding parenchyma cells contain calcium oxalate crystals.
